Getting metals to look realistic can be really easy with a few tricks in CINEMA 4D, such as using a High Dynamic Range Image (HDRI) on a Sky object to create realistic reflections on even the flattest surface. And by using a Compositing tag, you can hide the HDRI from the camera so that it is only used to generate reflections, and doesn't show up in the background.
